Great Wall of China - China Great Wall History By Umair Ahmad
Great Wall of China:
About 200 years before the birth of Jesus Christ, Chinese King Chen Shi Huang sought to build a wall on the northern border to protect his country from enemy attacks. The wall originated from the border of China and Manchuku. The enemies of China were Hun and Tatars, who were considered very powerful in Central Asia. The wall extends from the Gulf of Liaoning to the border areas of Mongolia and Tibet. Its length is about fifteen hundred miles. And it is twenty to thirty feet high. The width is twenty-five feet from the bottom and twelve feet from the top. Every two hundred yards there are strong shelters for the guards.
