Burj Khalifa is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The height of the tallest building is eight hundred and twenty-eight meters, twenty-seven hundred seventy feet. The building consists of one hundred sixty floors. Formerly named Burj Dubai, the world's tallest building located in the United Arab Emirates city of Dubai, which surpassed Taiwan's Taipei 101 on January 4, 2010. It is the tallest man-made building in history. The building was named after the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Construction of the Burj Khalifa began on September 21, 2004 under the name Burj Dubai. The architect of the building is Adrian Smith, who is from Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM). The total height of the Burj Khalifa is 828 meters, with a total of 162 floors. As such, it is also the highest floor building in the world.
